Dianne’s Blog Bits….
Food for thought:
I saw this in a recent online reading: "If God only used perfect people to do His will, the Bible would be a very short book."
We all know that there's no perfect person out there. Some people can hide what's going on the inside, when on the outside they look perfectly normal.
It's when God uses the broken people, the people that have lost it all, the people who appear as if there's no where else to turn, that miracles happen.
I have so many stories from my own life, that I could write a very thick novel. I've seen so many times where I have been at my lowest in spirit, disappointed by someone or something not happening when God stepped in and turned it around.
God doesn't make junk. He made us in His image. The next time you feel discouraged or angry at someone, turn to God. Turn to His Word. Read the Bible and learn how His word applies to your life, your situation.
God is ready to work in you today. When you miss getting with God, acknowledging the creator of the universe for who He is, then you miss out on the blessings from above.
You miss the gifts of God when you fail to get with God.
John 14:12 - "Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father."
Mission possible
Have you ever thought about going on a Mission trip? Do you think that people who go on mission trips are advanced seminary students or well-seasoned pastors?
In "Mission Possible," Dianne Petrey shares a daily dialog from her own experiences after signing up for her first mission trip. Dianne's story includes anticipated struggles, but also answered prayers. Dianne's faith is challenged through the toughest journey in her entire Christian walk.
Dianne encourages us to live compassionately with ourselves as we allow God to fight our battles. She challenges all of us to focus on the person of our faith rather than the object of our wait.
Dianne’s perseverance through unforeseen adversity shows us what it means to wait on God in times of distress.
OLIVOS, PERU | AUGUST 1 - 10, 2019
Another ‘mission accomplished!’ Thanks to all my friends for your prayers and support. Our mission trip to Olivos Peru was as memorable and successful as God had planned. Many people in the small village of Olivos welcomed us with open arms. There were various parts of our ministry that I want to tell you all about.
Thank you for your patience as I gather together the pictures and memories to share with you in the next few days.
Olivos, Peru. Go International and our team come together again for a successful mission; reaching the beautiful people of Olivos, Peru!
Looking out my kitchen window in late October, I noticed how the backyard looked a little different than earlier in the year. It seemed as if there shadows became apparent and different than in the summer months.
