Motives of the heart.

Jesus promises to give us everything we need, but He’s not a slot machine.

He knows your heart. You can’t pretend you need that new car for work, but deep down inside, you want to show off to your friends.

Selfish pleasures will only take you so far. You soon realize the responsibilities that come with it.

Ask Jesus what you want, keeping in mind that the goal is to please Him in the process.

He already knows your needs.

James 4:3 - “When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.”
