Brokenhearted.
Psalm 34:17-18 – “The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
All my early adult life, I existed on the premise that if I did what was expected of me, that everyone would accept me as I am. I thought that if I did what they wanted, they would welcome me and not reject me.
You see, I was basing my future, my existence, on another person making me happy.
I knew and accepted Jesus at the age of 16, but I was just a baby Christian and had a lot to learn.
Oh, how I wish I had listened to the older, more seasoned Christians. But more than that, I wish I had listened to Jesus.
I know now that no one on this earth can give me a 100% perfect, stress-free life. No money or time can change my perspective on life or myself.
If you’re out there and all hope seems to be lost and to u’ve found yourself at another dead end, don’t give up. Try now to put your trust in Jesus. He can take away the pain and loneliness of this world.
Cry out to Jesus. He can heal that broken heart today.
