Self-medicate.

All worry, stress, tension or depression comes from fear. Fear is being unable to deal with the circumstances on your own, so you replace it with something that makes you forget about it at the time.

The sad thing is that when the stimulate (whatever it is; alcohol, medications, etc.) has worn off, you still have the problems.

God didn't design our brains to operate in fear, but He gave us the power of love and a peace that others don't understand.

Next time you think about taking that drink to forget your sorrows, or whatever it is to take away the pain, remember that you were made in God's image, and ‘He didn't make no junk!’

Self medicate on God's promises from the beginning of time.

Philippians 4:6-7 - “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
