Storm patterns
Depending on where you live, you may notice that our weather is changing. We’ve seen raging storms that cause colossal flooding; ice storms that halt any kind of travel, taking out electricity in its path.
But what about the emotional storms that filter through our lives? Some come up suddenly and you’re blindsided with the destruction. Some build up until you’re overwhelmed with the fear of the final blow. While others brew for days, weeks, months and maybe even years. Where is God in all of this? He’s right there in it. The storms, the rain, and even in the rainbows. Trust Him. He’s our shelter. Even when you think there’s no way out of a situation, ask God for help and trust in His plan, not your own.
There are many examples in the Bible of people who stood with God when times looked bleak. They knew that a miracle from God was the only hope. They persevered and God brought them through the storm.
Take hope in God’s promises for you. Look for the rainbow in your storm. Keep the faith that what God says He will do will come to pass. It may not be in your timing, but in His.
Psalm 91:1-2 - “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
