Willing and faithful.

Have you ever been chosen for a project or position that you felt unqualified, maybe even terrified? Did you accept the challenge or humbly decline? The old saying goes, “there’s little in life that’s not worth some risk.”

When we follow Jesus, there are still challenges and trials we face. It’s the choices we make every day that set us apart in our faith. God doesn’t ask me to do things perfectly; He only asks me to be willing and faithful.

If we’re always scared and worried to step out of the box, then how will we learn to grow in our faith as Christians?

Have you been given an opportunity at work, at home, or even at your Church? Don’t worry about whether you’re qualified, or even ready to accept the new position. Step out in faith, that’s all God asks of us. Tell Him your concerns, be honest and be willing in allowing God to use this moment in time for your good and His glory.

It’s not just about passively accepting God’s will, but actively choosing to follow it with a willing heart. Whether you’re serving food to the homeless or helping a neighbor in need, God is not looking for perfect people, He is simply searching for those who will be devoted to Him.

If we are faithful in the little things, we prove to God we can be trusted with greater things.
