Forgive. Again?

Hebrews 4:12 - “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”

Would you constantly forgive someone who kept making your life miserable by telling lies about you or worse, deliberately making your daily life as a Christian unbearable?

Well, this is what Christ does every day for His children. Even though we’re unfaithful, God is always faithful.

Our confidence to come before God relates to our understanding of what Jesus did on the cross.

This may be a hard concept for some to understand, but it boils down to this. God sent His Son, Jesus, to die for our miserable sins. If we believe this and give our lives over to Him, we are no longer under the constant conviction of sin.

Relax and rest in Jesus. Jesus’s sacrifice for each one of us makes our payment of sin complete. Paid in full, no looking back.
