The perfect storm.

A perfect storm is defined as a critical or disastrous situation created by a powerful concurrence of factors.

This can be a variety of scenarios.  Like the one in the movie, “Perfect Storm” where the weather conditions were the ideal setting for a disastrous outcome.

As it is with life.  You’ve heard the phrase, “when it rains, it pours?”  When the car won’t start, and you’re supposed to be at work early because you’re presenting your pitch.  When you’ve waited 2 years to plan a vacation and find out there’s something on your x-ray that needs attention.

God knows this and yet you feel so alone.

This life will never be perfect, but God didn’t promise that.  He promised a life beyond this one.  He professed His love for us and He promises to carry us through the roughest waters of life.

Stay strong in God’s word, the only equipment needed in the perfect storm.

Luke 12:54-56 -”He said to the crowd: “When you see a cloud rising in the west, immediately you say, ‘It’s going to rain,’ and it does. And when the south wind blows, you say, ‘It’s going to be hot,’ and it is. Hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky. How is it that you don’t know how to interpret this present time?”
