Are you teachable?
You can have all the knowledge in the world, but not be wise.
Have you ever met someone who refuses to take advice from another?
God’s desire for us is to have an abundant life; to seek wisdom.
Unteachable people are impatient. They want things their way and they want it now. Unteachable people are insecure. They see other people’s views as a threat to their own. These type of people lack empathy. They don’t care if something’s not working for other people as long as it’s working for them. The list goes on and on.
Do not let the characteristics of unteachable behavior take root in you. Choose to let Christ’s compassion be seen through you as you invest in the lives of others and hear their voices.
Be open to learning from anyone at anytime. There's no way to escape the fact that being teachable is foundational to spiritual growth and character development in all areas of our walk with God.
Proverbs 9:9 - “Instruct the wise and they will be wiser still; teach the righteous and they will add to their learning.”
