What now?
There have been seasons in my life when one thing gets resolved and some new problem comes along. This leaves me wondering, will there ever be a time when I will have no issues or new challenges ahead?
Jesus told His disciples before He left them, that there will be trouble in this world, but in that same breath, He reminded them that He has already overcome the world.
Worry will get you nowhere. There’s not one bit of worry that will give you another minute of life. In fact, worrying could subtract years from your life if you’re not careful.
We just need to change our perspective. If you’re a Christian, you already know the outcome; the end of the story. We know the promises of God, His unending protection and grace, and His everlasting love for you and me. Look at this new challenge as a test of your faith.
I no longer say, “what now,” but, “how can God use me in this situation?” God’s got a plan for you and me, and if you’re a Christian you know that we need to be asking God what’s the next thing we can do to further His kingdom, and to turn our problems into opportunities to serve Him.
Psalm 46:1 - “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”
