Scapegoat.

In the Bible, specifically in the book of Leviticus, the author refers to a scapegoat. This was a goat they determined would take on the sins of the Israelites. This goat escaped into the wilderness, never to return, with the blood (or sins) of the people on him. I guess in theory it sounded good. They wanted to use this goat to bear the blame of their sins.

Don’t go through life blaming others for your actions. If you make a mistake, own it.

God took care of blame and sin by sending His One and Only Son for each of us. Jesus is our scapegoat from sin.

If you mess up along the way, don’t let that sin infest your genealogy. Acknowledge that Jesus is your scapegoat for sin and stop trying to get around your mistakes by blaming others.

Blame has been around since the beginning of time, in the garden of Eden. Why not give your life over to Jesus, to a life of freedom from sin.

Every human being will have to give an account for his or her life and actions. Allow Jesus to be your scapegoat.

Proverbs 28:13 - “Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.”
