Sacrifice.

To make a sacrifice, you surrender or give up something for the sake of someone else. In the spiritual realm, sacrifice means giving to the Lord whatever He requires, whether it be our time, our resources and our energy to further His work.

We all make sacrifices every day. Some do this because they love and care about another’s needs. God sees this and blesses us for it.

I’m personally going through a trial that is requiring me to help my family get through a difficult season. Others may look at me and wonder why I’m taking on so much. This is exactly what satan wants us to think. The devil wants us to throw a pity party and dwell on why things are so bad right now.

I look at this time as an opportunity to show God’s love and to thank God for putting me right in the middle of it all.

Jesus is the ultimate sacrifice for all. He died so we could live. So why wouldn’t I sacrifice my time to help those I love. Jesus came out of the grave and is alive today. I accept the challenges of today and am thankful He chose me!

My sacrifices may seem daunting to others, but with God by my side, NOTHING is impossible!

Ephesians 5:1-2 - “Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.”
