Wait, on God.
Waiting is a part of life. We make plans and we wait. The waiting room is among the most popular; waiting on the next job, or even waiting on someone to come back to you.
Waiting is hard sometimes, especially if we’re concerned or anxious over the outcome; the health report, the final exam or even the birth of a baby.
So what does waiting mean when it applies to God? For one, it does not mean to do nothing. It means to trust, hope and expect.
I have learned over the years to slow down and not get so consumed with whatever I’m waiting on to resolve. And, once I give my requests to God and purposely say out loud, “let Your Will be done,” I have left it with God to do His part.
Just like taking on the task of building muscle in your body, you do the hard work and you wait and watch over time, the muscles taking shape as you get stronger. So, waiting on God is often necessary for strengthening our faith.
When you think God’s not listening or not doing anything in your life - know that He loves you unconditionally and is always working for your good.
Waiting strategically can cultivate good fruit in our lives such as patience, perseverance, and endurance.
Faith is the key action while waiting on God. It will be so worth it!
Psalm 27:14 - “Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”
