Creating doubt.

We’ve all experienced doubt of some form in our lives. Doubt is defined as a feeling of uncertainty or lack of conviction.

Doubts are a normal part of Christian living. Doubt isn’t the opposite of faith; it is an element of faith. Satan created doubt in the beginning of time with Adam and Eve. So, what are we to do when we feel this apprehension or hesitation in our lives? We refer back to the word of God, just the way Jesus told John the Baptist to do.

Faith is key here and if we are armored with faith and trust in God, we can deflect any darts the devil is aiming at our hearts.

Knowing where doubt comes from should encourage us to trust in God’s plan for each of us. Satan can only do what God allows him to do.

Doubting God is the goal of the devil. If satan can get his foot in the door by making us doubt, the rest of his plan quickly can follow. Without the foundation of God’s Word believers are adrift and fall prey to every wind of doctrine and get tossed to and fro.

Be prepared, knowing that the devil is just around the corner when you’re most vulnerable. Doubt has no place in a heart filled with God’s love.

2 Timothy 1:7 - “For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.”
