Shortcuts.
As a Christian, we know and understand that God has a purpose and plan for our lives. But, what do we do when His plan doesn’t line up with ours?
We often try to take matters into our own hands and take shortcuts in life. When we do this, we miss out on the lesson and the growth associated with the change in plans. We miss the wisdom and character-building that can come from experience and setbacks.
Think of it like this: the more shortcuts we take in trying to do things our way, the further we find ourselves from God. He knows us and because He loves us, He only wants what is good for us.
When God interrupts us, He often wants to break us away from ourselves and reveal something about Himself or His plans for our lives.
The devil is the king of shortcuts; an easy way out. Quit focusing on solving your own problem, and trust God’s game plan for your future.
You may not understand the change of direction, but trust that God’s got this!
James 4:7 - Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
