Resilience is a matter of God-sufficiency.
Resilience is defined as, “the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties.”
You can go through seasons where everything seems to be difficult; everything you touch, crumbles.
You have two choices when this happens. You can either lie down and take it, or you can fight back. How you fight back is the difference.
A lot of people rely on their own self-sufficiency to get through problems. They see a problem and instead of praying about it and giving it to God, they wallow in self-pity, stress out and are crippled with depression.
How about instead of relying on yourself to resolve the problem, you rely on God to fight your battle.
Some wonder why they keep having problem after problem and nothing ever seems to go their way.
Who are you relying on today? Did you wake up with God on your mind, or thinking about your problems?
Did you ask God for help today?
You don’t receive, because you don’t ask. Sounds simple, but it’s a statement from God.
Be God-sufficient today. He’s all you need to be resilient!
James 4:2-3 - “You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.”
