What's the hurry?

God created the heavens and the earth. The Bible tells us that the earth will pass away some day, but it also tells us that on Jesus’ return, He will bring a new heaven and a new earth.

Isaiah 34:4 - “All the stars in the sky will be dissolved and the heavens rolled up like a scroll; all the starry host will fall like withered leaves from the vine, like shriveled figs from the fig tree.”

When will this happen? No one knows. Only God knows the date and time of this future event.

There’s only one way to be prepared for Jesus’ return. That is, to repent of your sins and be saved. This new heaven and new earth is only for those who are children of God; those who have given their life to Christ.

Some people will say, “I’ll give my life to God when I’m old and retired, etc.”

That is a scary place to live. None, not one of us are promised tomorrow, or even the next hour.

The devil will convince you that there’s no rush; live it up; do what you want to do, it’s your life.

My heart goes out to those who haven’t accepted Jesus as their savior. Time is about to run out for all of us.

I’m looking forward to the day Jesus returns and takes me home, to be reunited with my mom and dad, grandparents, aunts, uncles; my two brothers.

Today is the day of salvation.
