God's delays.

There have been times in my life when I’ve wondered where God is. I question if He’s hearing my prayers at night. The delays seem too long and hope seems to be fading. But I am reminded that my God is faithful. His purposeful delays may appear as if He doesn’t care. God does care and He’s always working behind the scenes (for His purpose) to get us through tough times.

Delay is not denial. Most often, when God gives us His promise He doesn’t give any specific time, and I believe He does that to build our patience and trust in Him. The moment He gave the promise, He knew the exact time it will be fulfilled.

But the challenge is we often assume a time that the promise should be fulfilled, and when it doesn’t meet our expectations we cry out, feeling disappointed of being delayed or worst — that our prayers were not answered.

Know this: God’s got this. Whatever it is you’re going through, He is in control. Trust Him and believe in His timing, not your own.

Ezekiel 12:28 - “Therefore say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: None of my words will be delayed any longer; whatever I say will be fulfilled, declares the Sovereign Lord.”
