Serenity prayer

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.

The Serenity Prayer is not mentioned in the Bible, however, several underlying principles are found in Philippians 4:6-7.

Once we have a relationship with God, we then begin to realize that God has a plan for our life. There are some things that happen in our lives that we would love to change. But knowing God is present in our life should give us peace, realizing that God’s got this. We may not be able to change the situation, but we can have the wisdom to turn it over to Him.

Live one day at a time. Enjoy one moment at a time. We don’t have to figure it all out when life gets rocky.

Trust God. Have faith. Live life!

Phillippians 4:6-7 - “ Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
