Storm embracer.

The storms in our lives may surprise us at times, but they do not surprise God. We may feel betrayed, thinking that God would allow such a storm. But if we learn to embrace the storm, knowing that God is in it with us, we can begin to ride it out.

I honestly don’t know how I could have gotten on the other side of some of the trials in my life without knowing that God was closer than ever. You see, sometimes God allows these disruptions in our lives to steer us in depending on Him, than on our own discernment.

God did not promise we will never experience storms, but He has promised He will be with us during them.

None of us go looking for storms, but the next time something happens that you did not expect, look for God. He’s a lot closer than you think.

Have faith, not fear. Trust in the Storm Maker, God Himself.

Deuteronomy 31:6 - “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrifiedbecause of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
