Yoga for the soul.

As a yoga teacher, I try to bring a sense of calmness and meditation to each class, reminding them that this is their time to just be still.

But, I have to often remind myself of this same principle. The world throws so much at us daily, and it’s up to us to either block it out or unfortunately, some of it absorbs into our lives.

Psalm 46:10 reminds us to “Be still.” This verse is about trusting God as a source of strength and refuge, even in times of chaos.

Being still can be challenging in today’s world, even in a yoga class. Many people are often busy with many responsibilities and to-do lists. However, some say that busyness can make it difficult to concentrate on God.

Regular yoga practice helps you nurture your mind, body, and soul through physical poses, mindfulness and meditation, offering holistic healing on a deeper level.

Be intentional about carving out time for God. Start out with 5-10 minutes, talk to Him like you would talk to your best friend.

God….Good for the soul.

Psalm 23:1-4 -”The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”
