Parting the waters.
If you’re not a believer and you’ve never read the Bible, you may not understand when someone tells you the miracles of God and how He changed lives.
As I walked along the shoreline in northern Florida recently, I was reminded of a time in history when God parted the waters of the Red Sea. He did this so that the Israelites could walk away from their enemies onto dry land.
It doesn’t have to be a dramatic event for God to get your attention. There have been many times in my Christian walk when I couldn’t imagine anything good coming from a desperate situation, and God stepped in and parted the way.
Even though I will continue to face difficult situations in this life, I know that my God has been there for me in the past and will pave a way for my future.
What about you? Are you praying for a miracle over your current situation? Why not pray to the One who created the heavens and earth; the one who parted the Red Sea; the one who raised Lazarus from the dead?
If God would do that for all those gone on before us, He will do it again for you and me. Allow God to fight your enemies and provide a way out onto dry land. The alternative is to stay where you are, fighting your own battles. How’s that working out for ya?
Trust God, I do. He performs miracles every day!
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 - “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”
