Making a difference.

I can remember early in my career, working my hardest at a goal, staying late to meet a deadline or trying everything to impress my boss. All for what? Most of the time, I got at best, a pat on the back.

I’m not saying it’s wrong to climb the ladder to reach your professional goals, but at what cost? Are you neglecting your family, your friends, even God to get what you want.

As a Christian I have matured in my walk with God. And even though I’m no longer climbing the corporate ladder, my mission is clear to me; to make a difference in the lives of others by telling them about my God, and how He’s changed my life.

I think we can all remember a teacher, coach, parent, even friends who have inspired and encouraged us along the way.

We have to understand and believe that the power to make a difference isn’t found in us; it’s found in God. He makes a difference in us as we read His Word and apply it to our lives.

Who knows, maybe your next conversation might just make a difference in someone else’s life.

1 Timothy 4:12 - “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”
