Enjoy where you're at, on the way to where you're going.
We all have the same 24 hours in a day. Some spend half the time sleeping, working, while others face each day, excited about how they can possibly make a difference in their life and in the lives of others.
You hear about people with depression, anxiety; people isolating themselves to the point where they don’t come out of their homes for days, even years. So, what happened in our society? Did they lose their purpose, their passion for living? I don’t know the answer, but I do know that if we focus on self too much, we’re going to be depressed, anxious, even unlovable to other people.
Each day is a gift from God, and once we acknowledge this, that’s when we can begin to enjoy where we are in life, no matter what’s going on around us.
Death is inevitable, but living is a choice. I honestly don’t know how I could face each day without God in my life. He’s been my shelter, comforter, my warrior in every battle I face, and He alone is there to walk beside me each and every day.
Life’s too short; we know this. We see our loved ones die, freak accidents that don’t make sense, and even innocent people lose their life because they can’t cope with their current situation. It doesn’t have to be this way.
How about you? Got God in your life? If not, how’s that working out for you? Choose life; choose God today and watch your journey get a little more interesting and enjoyable on the way to eternity.
Ecclesiastes 8:15 - “So I commend the enjoyment of life, because there is nothing better for a person under the sun than to eat and drink and be glad. Then joy will accompany them in their toil all the days of the life God has given them under the sun.”
